05 May 2007: Turkeys of Santa Teresa (37.21, -121.793) – Gobble, gobble. – Colors start to turn at Santa Teresa County Park. Two turkeys emerge from the drying grasses and cross the trail in from of me.
27 Aug 2006: Bridges on Steep Ravine trail (37.8944, -122.617) – Wooden bridges in the forest. – Steep Ravine is well shaded, and consequently a good choice for a day trip at the end of August. All along the steep trail, some small wooden bridges allow the hikers to cross various creeks.
13 May 2006: Swallows of Don Edwards (37.5317, -122.076) – Aerobatics around the fishermen's huts. – When the evening comes, the quietness over Don Edwards is only troubled by the barn swallows. Their aerobatics are punctuated by a constant twittering.
07 May 2006: San Bruno Mountain (37.6895, -122.436) – A view on San Francisco. – The trail to the top of San Bruno Mountain provides good views of San Francisco.
29 Apr 2006: Sunol Regional Wilderness (37.5103, -121.824) – All is green in Sunol in Spring. – In April, Sunol Regional Wilderness is covered by a lush carpet of grass and small flowers. The big oaks join this green ensemble by growing some fresh new leaves all along the convoluted shape of their limbs.
